Fluent
Because language is only the beginning
Fluent is a steamy, slow-burn literary romance set in modern-day Shanghai. When American teacher Thomas Wright begins his first semester at a Chinese university, he expects language barriers and lesson plans. Instead, he finds himself drawn into an emotional maze after catching the attention of two very different students, each pulling him toward a future he never saw coming.

Find the time to read
Sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones.
A few minutes with a good story can reset your mind, soften a rough day, or spark a thought you didn’t know you needed. You don’t have to carve out hours or make grand plans. Just let a book keep you company whenever life gives you a pause. Those little pockets of time add up, and before you know it, you’ve wandered into a new world, met new characters, and fed a part of yourself that’s been waiting patiently.
Books don’t demand much, but they always give something back.
A Special Shout-Out to Mario and Zelda
I owe a surprising amount of my personal growth to two unexpected mentors: a mustached plumber who keeps leaping into danger, and a princess who refuses to let destiny boss her around. Mario taught me perseverance, the power of a good jump, and that life’s obstacles are just Goombas waiting to be flattened. Zelda showed me that courage isn’t about being fearless, it’s about stepping into the unknown with style and a really good theme song.
Between the two of them, I grew up braver, more imaginative, and definitely more determined to level up in real life. So here’s to the heroes who shaped my childhood, fueled my creativity, and proved that sometimes the best life lessons come from 64-bit legends. Game on. 🎮✨
